Dessert-Cream Cheese Bars

This is another recipe that uses cake mix as one of the ingredients. I am sure I have made it since it was a shared recipe from a friend, but it has been a while since I did. See what you think about the cream cheese bars recipe.

CREAM CHEESE BARS

Mix well and press into 9x13" greased and floured pan:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 stick butter, melted

1 egg

Mix well and pour over cake mix:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese

2 eggs

1 box powdered sugar

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 min. (Some turned oven to broil for about 30 seconds to brown the top a little when 40 min. is up.)

Variations: 1.Use a lemon cake mix and add a few drops of lemon to the filling.

2. Add nuts &/or choc. chips to the filling.

3. Use a butter pecan cake mix with nuts in the filling
